On 30.08.1992 the Belgian GP took place in Spa-Francorchamps. Schumacher had previously experienced a third place on the grid in qualifying.
One year after his Formula 1 debut at the same venue, it was to become legendary again in 1992. Many laps after the start, this Formula 1 race was led by Senna and Mansell. On the 30th lap, Brundle exerted great pressure behind Michael. His fogged visor caused him to miss the turn - and Brundle got past.
Chasing Brundle, Schumacher realised that Brundle's tyres were worn and already blistering. Schumacher immediately had his tyres changed in the pits - the best decision. Michael Schumacher made it to first place and was able to win the Grand Prix after 44 laps. "It was a curious story because I took the victory thanks to a mistake," said Michael Schumacher.
The miniature helmet in 1/2 scale by the manufacturer Bell is a faithful replica of Michael Schumacher's driver's helmet from the 1992 Formula 1 season and is limited to 1,992 pieces. The paintwork combines the design of Schumacher's main sponsors with the colours of the German flag in black/red/gold.
