The Bahrain Grand Prix took place on 20 March 2022 at the Bahrain International Circuit and covered a distance of 57 laps of 5.412 km each, for a total distance of 308.238 km
Starting from 10th position, AlphaTauri Team's Pierre Gasly took to the track in his Red Bull RBPTH001-powered AT03 race car. In the first race of the season, however, Gasly retired after completing 44 laps due to a technical defect.
